What size or type of brick do I need for my project?
Brick sizes & colour can vary. Generally, bricks made between1900 & 1930 tend to
be 9” x 3” x 4 ¼ “ & can either be machine made or hand made in various colour shades of red. Pre 1900, brick sizes can vary widely as they were generally handmade. If you require any advice & are looking to match to your existing bricks, please come in & see us or send us a sample to find the best match for you.
Do you have the right size door I need?
We stock up to 500 internal & external doors at any one time. Some of which have been stripped, some haven’t, some have glass in & some require restoring & some have separate beading, some a bevel edge. In other words, there are all types of sizes & style to match to. Obviously, looking through all these doors for one particular size is very time consuming, so if you are able to pop in or send a detailed illustration or photo with exact dimensions & style, this would speed up the process of searching for you.
Can you arrange a delivery for me?
We use local reputable firms to handle all our deliveries, which includes a haulage company who can deliver pallets kirbside nationwide whose services include overnight (premium) & 2-3day (economy). We also use a contract driver who has a lorry with crane off lift for more local deliveries upto 50miles as well as a contract courier who can deliver nationwide & assist with hand balling off deliveries. Lastly, if appropriate to do so, we can post your products to you.
Where do your products come from?
The majority of our bricks & roofing products come from our own demolition projects. We clean & pallet our own bricks & box our own tiles, so we know where they came from & that the quality is consistent. Many of our other products are sourced nationally & internationally from reputable suppliers with whom we have built up relationships with during the course of the 21 years we have been trading. We are also a founding member of Salvo & ensure that we clearly adhere to its Code of Practice, particularly ensuring that the source of our products is known.
What guarantees do you offer?

Can you recommend local trades people?
Yes, again over the years of serving many trades, we have come to know who offer not only good value, but also match the quality of the products we supply & the service & workmanship we would expect ourselves. Please feel free to ask us.
Please note that as the majority of the reclaimed materials have been previously used & are very old, you will always get slight variations in texture, grade & colours, particularly so with brick’s tiles, slates & natural wood. This really is the charm & desirability of reclaimed materials. However, if you are not entirely sure, we always recommend that you personally view the items you are buying.
Do you have a website where I can buy directly?
Yes, we are developing a site where you can buy our reproduction classic design cast iron radiators & period door furniture & ironmongery at www.period-products.co.uk . This website is a fully e-commerce site, fully encrypted for security through Barclay’s ePDQ, where items can be bought on line via most major credit cards.
